Enable the setting
- Open Watermelon Backup Settings.
- Find Allow iCloud Photo Access.
- Turn it on before starting a task that may need iCloud originals.
- Keep the iPhone on a stable network and power if many originals need to be fetched.
Run the task
- Return to Home and connect the Node you want to use.
- Wait for the remote index sync to finish.
- Select the months for Backup, Download, or Complete.
- Tap Execute and confirm.
- If iCloud-only resources are detected, Watermelon Backup automatically reduces concurrency to 1 for that run.
When the setting is off
- Watermelon Backup processes resources already available on the device.
- iCloud-only resources may be skipped during Backup.
- Download or Complete may stop when a complete local index is needed to avoid duplicates.
- Leave the setting off if you do not want the app to request iCloud originals on demand.
